Everywhere I turned, I was surrounded by pain
And all of it came from making a deal with him,
The beautiful devil with the cold, wicked eyes
Same dark smile that haunts me still…
Out of nowhere, you appeared to me,
Sent from beyond the realm of dreams
And I was the one who cast you away.
But you hunted me, tracked me down
Using our hearts as a guid
Innocence Of better days and
That calming sense of peace
Which I used to feel
When I looked into those eyes…
I saw a vision…
Like never before…
I never let it bother me;
All the horrible things you did.
I said it was just a dream,
Fairy tale twisted into a nightmare…
What you took from me
Can never be replaced…
I don't like to think about
How I'll never have that
Sweet innocent feeling…
Never experienced it once.
Living life through a vicarious lie,
I can have it through them…
Giving them what I can't,
They are just like ghosts of myself.
